I recently spent a weekend at Carneros Resort and Spa, and while I appreciated the beautiful scenery and the romantic ambiance, I was left wanting more given the price tag. The rooms were nice but lacked a wow factor, and while services like the pool and restaurants had their highlights, there were noticeable areas that could use improvement, especially regarding cleanliness and responsiveness.

Rooms
6.0
The cottage was clean but felt a bit worn, lacking in some amenities, and had a few bugs which were unsettling. For the rate we paid, I expected a much more luxurious experience.
Service
7.0
While some staff members were friendly and eager to help, the overall service, especially in housekeeping and pool areas, was inconsistent and at times disappointing.
Location
7.0
The location is tranquil and convenient, nestled among vineyards, but the resort is somewhat isolated from nearby attractions, which might not be ideal for everyone.
Dining
9.0
Dining at both the Farm and Boon Fly Cafe was a highlight, with delicious food and great flavors that made meals enjoyable.
Facilities
7.0
The overall facilities, particularly the adult pool, provided a pleasant atmosphere, but I was disappointed with the condition of the jacuzzi which was in need of maintenance.

Our stay at Carneros Resort was a delightful escape, complete with charming cottages offering privacy and rustic charm, along with attentive service that ensured we felt well cared for. The outdoor spaces, including a fantastic pool area, were beautifully designed and added to our experience. However, we found the dining options a bit on the pricey side, which might deter some budget-conscious travelers.

Our stay at Carneros Resort was a mix of outstanding scenery and some service hiccups. The private cabins were beautifully designed and comfortable, making for a relaxing getaway. However, the noise from the nearby highway disrupted the tranquil setting, and we faced some issues with service during our visit. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind, but not without its flaws.

Rooms
7.0
We stayed in a vineyard view cabin that was private and well-equipped, featuring a lovely patio. However, it did not quite match up to the photos we had seen, and it was somewhat small for the price.
Service
6.0
The staff were mostly courteous but there were moments where the service felt lacking. For the price we paid, I expected a more seamless experience.
Location
7.0
The resort is conveniently located at the south end of Napa Valley, making it easy to access local wineries. However, the nearby highway brought some noise to the atmosphere.
Dining
8.0
Dining options at the resort were enjoyable, with good quality food, but we did face some issues with availability of service at peak times.
Facilities

The facilities, especially the adult pool and spa, were fantastic and well-maintained. Additionally, the fitness area was large and well-equipped, providing a great workout space.

5.0/10

Our stay at Carneros was disappointing, especially given the high price of the villa. While the grounds were lovely and well-kept, our villa was not cleaned properly, and the service was frustratingly slow. The experience could have been much better if the staff had been more attentive and the accommodations cleaner, which is unacceptable for what we paid.

Rooms
5.0
We were shocked by the state of our three-bedroom villa. It appeared very unkempt with cobwebs, dirt, and stained carpets. Given the $4000 per night rate, I expected a much higher standard.
Service
5.0
Service was painfully slow during our stay. We often waited an excessive amount of time for basic requests, which made our experience quite stressful.
Location
7.0
The location is indeed convenient for exploring Napa and Sonoma, but it didn't make up for the rest of our disappointing experience.
Dining
6.0
The food quality at the restaurant was good, but the service there was also slow, which detracted from the overall dining experience.
Facilities
7.0
The grounds were beautifully maintained, enhancing the atmosphere of the resort. However, the amenities were overshadowed by the poor service.

I recently stayed at Carneros Resort and Spa and had a wonderful time overall. The stunning scenery and beautifully maintained grounds really added to the experience. However, while the accommodations were lovely, I felt the cleanliness in some areas could have been better, and the dining service left something to be desired during peak hours. Overall, it's a charming spot perfect for a relaxing getaway, but just be prepared for some hiccups.

Rooms
7.0
The accommodations offered a unique blend of farmhouse charm and modern amenities, but there were a few cleanliness issues that stood out, such as spiders and some bugs indoors.
Service
8.0
The staff was always polite and eager to assist, though there were moments, especially at the pool bar, when service seemed a bit unorganized.
Location
9.0
The resort is set in a tranquil area with easy access to Napa Valley's renowned wineries, making it a great retreat.
Dining
8.0
The food quality at on-site restaurants, especially breakfast at Boon Fly Cafe, was impressive, but we encountered some availability issues during our meals.
Facilities
7.0
The beautiful pool area and well-kept outdoor spaces were perfect for relaxation, though the jacuzzi needs attention for maintenance.
